Surprisingly green!
Founded by Arie Persoon in 1950, the company grew tomatoes and lettuce at the time.
In 1980, Aad Persoon started growing green houseplants at the current location and, together with brother John Persoon, the company has expanded to what it is today.
The total area of the company covers 47,000 m². Of this, about 6,500 m² is used for in-house production of the basic material required for cultivation.
Together with about 20 employees, they devote a lot of time and care to growing quality products.
The main part of the business will then consist of new modern high-rise greenhouses furnished to current standards and norms . In front of this is a new business area with indoor docks, a spacious office layout and ample parking space.
All plants are grown on concrete floors equipped with the "ebb and flow - system". It also operates 3 screening systems per department that can screen independently and save energy. The moisture content here is also maintained by fogging These are 3 examples within the company showing that we are working hard on energy-efficient and environmentally conscious cultivation.
